Happy Birthday Susan
. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23
This little sweetie is a birthday present for a friend of mine. She is only 9" tall to the top of her tiny pom pom on the top of her hat. Her old bottle is only 1.5" in diameter. So nice to make something just for FUN

I had a great time at the annual fund raiser/ arts & crafts show, for the Conrad Mansion. I finished this antique newel post angel just in time and she sold right away. In fact I only had one box of stuff to bring home. It was a success and I am going to have to get busy because the show I was planning on doing ( I just stuck the Mansion show in for fun) is in two weeks and I don't have much left. Which is a blessing.

Old worn out things make me feel all happy. I love tiny old baby shoes that are so worn that you know many different feet have worn them over the years. This one I filled with old bottle brush trees and some vintage tinsel garland.
Here is my little snow girl... I love this time of year when it is cloudy and wet and cold because I can sit down and create. When it is beautiful and the sun is shining I cannot keep myself on task inside.
If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other.

Mothers day
a few years ago two of my adult children (Zach and Windy) got together and sang this song to me for a mothers day surprise. I was so overcome that I couldn't speak.
IN MY LIFE by THE BEATLES
There are places i'll remember
All my life though some have changed
Some forever not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places have their moments
With lovers and friends i still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life i've loved them all
But of all these friends and lovers
There is no one compares with you
And these memories lose their meaning
When i think of love as something new
Though i know i'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know i'll often stop and think about them
In my life i love you more
Though i know i'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know i'll often stop and think about them
In my life i love you more
In my life i love you more

"Real isn't how you are made," said the Skin Horse. "It's a thing that happens to you. When a child loves you for a long, long time, not just to play with, but REALLY loves you, then you become real."
"Does it hurt?" asked the Rabbit.
"Sometimes, said the Skin Horse, for he was always truthful. "When you are Real you don't mind being hurt."
"Does it happen all at once, like being wound up," he asked, "or bit by bit?"
"It doesn't happen all at once, like being wound up," said the Skin Horse. "you become. It takes a long time. That's why it doesn't often happen to people who break easily, or have sharp edges, or who have to be carefully kept. Generally by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don't matter at all, because once you are Real you can't be ugly, except to people who don't understand."
"I suppose you are Real?" said the Rabbit, and then he wished he had not said it, for he thought the Skin Horse might be sensitive. But the Skin Horse only smiled.
"The Boy's Uncle made me Real," he said. "That was a great many years ago; but once you are Real you can't become unreal again. It lasts for always." THE VELVETEEN RABBIT

Farewell to Summer
Autumn is my favorite time of year but I am feeling a bit sad about saying goodbye to Summer. It went so fast. But it was glorious.
